NOTES:

1. The values of all fields in the Grid can be edited except for the Re-Rating indicator which is read-only and the Circuit Name which can only be changed using the Edit Circuit Window.
2. EMarketOffer flags a Circuit as re-rated if the Branch Constraint data file contains a rating change for the Circuit that starts before or during the Forecast Effective Date Range and that ends during or after the Effective Date Range. Many such re-ratings are for prolonged durations, and it is quite likely to see a Circuit flagged as re-rated and unchanging throughout the Forecast Effective Date Range.

Grid Features

Double-click on a row to open the associated Edit Circuit Window where Circuit details can be edited.

>> To add a new Circuit:

1. Click on any row in the Circuits Data Grid and press the <Insert> key. This creates an empty row at the top of the Grid labelled " _ new _ ". Details of the Circuit can be entered by bringing up the Edit Circuit Window by double-clicking the empty row.

>> To delete an existing Circuit:

1. Click on the row in the Circuit Data Grid containing the Circuit you want to delete and press the <Delete> key. A dialogue box asking you to confirm the delete operation will appear.

NOTE: Deleting a Circuit also deletes any re-ratings data associated with the Circuit at the time of deletion

The Edit Circuits Window

Access

Double-clicking a Circuit Name in the Loaded Data Summary Panel of either the Forecast Definition or Powerflow Case Definition Windows.

Purpose

To manually enter and modify a Circuit's Static Data and also add, delete or change re-ratings occurring during the Forecast Effective Date Range.

Features

Feature	Description
Name	Used to identify any Circuit data used in the Definition. When loaded from file the Circuit name defaults to that used by Transpower which uses a FROM_TO.NUMBER naming convention. However, the field is used for description only and can be renamed without affecting how the system deals with the Circuit.
From	The Circuit 'From' Node. The relationship between the 'From' and 'To' Nodes does not affect how EMarketOffer calculates Powerflows. However, the relationship is important as flows are displayed on the map and information Windows as +ve if flow is towards the 'To' Node and -ve if flow is towards the 'From' Node.
To	The Circuit 'To' Node
IsHVDC	The Circuit is part of the HVDC
Resistance	Circuit resistance
Reactance	Circuit reactance
Summer	Maximum Summer capacity rating. The Summer Rating applies to periods 15 to 42 from 20 October to 8 May
Shoulder	Maximum shoulder capacity rating
Winter	Maximum Winter capacity rating
Re-Rated Check Box	Indicates if the Circuit was re-rated during the Effective Date Range
Capacity Re-Ratings Grid	Date From - Date from which the re-rating will be effective TP From - Trading Period from which the re-rating will be effective Date To - Date until and including which the re-rating will be effective TP To - Trading Period until and including which the re-rating will be effective Re-Rating Value - The Circuit capacity in MW effective during the re-rating period. NOTE: A circuit Outage can be modelled as a re-rating of 0 MW for the outage period

NOTE: When uploading historic Transmission System data from EM6/COMIT files EMarketOffer automatically applies any Transpower notified Branch Constraints. These can be seen as re-ratings in the Circuit Re-ratings grid.
