Loading Demand Data

>> To load Demand data into your Forecast Definition:

  1. Use the Data > Load Data option in the Menu bar of the Forecast Definition Window to open The Load Data Window.
  2. Use the Load Demand Data Dialogue to specify the details of your Demand data

NOTES:

  1. Format of demand files can be found here: Data File Formats
  2. When loading Demand data from file EMarketOffer uses the calendar date in the Demand file name to establish which day of the week data will loaded into the Demand profile. Loading two files for a Wednesday means an average of the two days will be made for the weekly profile.
  3. It is possible to load partial Demand files for a limited number of Trading Periods and/or Nodes. Data for the Trading Periods and Nodes in the partial file will overwrite existing data but leave other data in tact.

Editing Loaded Demand Data

Forecast demand data is edited through the Edit Node Window which is accessed by clicking on the Node Data Grid in the Forecast Definition Window.

Individual Demand figures can be edited manually or multiple cells can be changed by pasting into a highlighted section of the grid from the clipboard. You can:

  • Replace all of the existing profile by re-loading from the database
  • Use edited demand files to replace all or part of the existing Demand profile.

NOTE: Data pasted into the Demand Grid overwrites existing data as soon as it is pasted.

Inserting and Deleting Nodes

>> To Delete a single Node:

  1. set the cursor in the Node row to be deleted and press the <Delete> key (you will be asked to confirm your deletion)

>> To Delete a number of Nodes:

  1. use the mouse to highlight the rows to be deleted and press the <Delete> key (you will be asked to confirm your deletion)

>> To insert a Single Node:

  1. press the <Insert> key (a new Node row will be created called "_New_"

TIP: Use the Graph Nodal Demand profile feature (Graph Button on the Edit Node Data Grid) to get a quick visual check on changes you are making to the Nodal Demand profile).
